张甘霖，1987年在华中农业大学大学获得农学学士学位，1993年在中国科学院南京土壤研究所获得理学博士学位，2001年晋升中国科学院南京土壤研究所研究员，博士生导师；国家杰出青年基金获得者，江苏省“333”工程首批“中青年科技领军人才”，享受国务院政府特殊津贴；曾任国际土壤科学联合会土壤发生委员会副主席，现任国际土壤科学联合会城市土壤工作组副主席，当选下届土壤发生委员会副主席；全国土壤质量标准化技术委员会委员；中国土壤学会理事、土壤发生、分类和土壤地理专业委员会主任；全球数字土壤制图网络亚洲中心负责人；担任《Geoderma》、《土壤学报》、《干旱区研究》等国内外著名学术期刊编委。长期从事土壤发生、分类、制图和资源评价研究工作，并取得一定的进展。在土壤发生、土壤分类、土壤制图、土壤资源信息系统与评价、城市土壤等方面已发表论文140多篇，其中SCI收录30多篇。获得授权专利2个。出版专著共8部。
